Thanks to the combination of IBENA technical know how and design competence, IBENA is a highly reputed partner for the German and international automobile industry.

In close co-operation with important producers of automotive seating fabrics and textiles for side coverings (e.g. textiles covering the inner panel of the car door), automotive grey fabrics are developed and produced. IBENA CARTEX are automotive textiles that fulfil the most demanding technical as well as design requirements of leading German and international automobile companies, e.g. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Opel, Volvo, VW etc.

For a smooth co-operation during development, IBENA has in-house access to state of the art CAD technology, sample warp production facilities and an in-house sample-weaving mill. The quality management system of IBENA has been specifically adapted to the specific requirements of the automobile industry with the use of high tech process controls, such as opto-digital fault detection as an example.

The same combination of technical and modern design competence leads also to the development of a wide range of products which are often made from high tech fibres, filaments or yarns. Examples are:

• textile wall coverings particularly in extra wide widths
• wide width decoration fabrics also in room height
